Regular Show

Me: ...Umm, Adventure Time was pretty fu--

Random troll: AND THAT STUPID REGULAR SHOW FOR ADULTS! EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!

Me: *pushes him off* ...I actually thought that too about Regular Show, but... It really grew on me!

Regular Show, for those who don't know it, is a show which is, of course, anything BUT regular: it talks about Mordecai, a blue jay, and Rigby, a raccoon, showing their lives and jobs as the caretakers of a park owned by Benson, a gumball machine. Again, Regular? Oh the obvious iron "e".

The show has a strong sense of continuity IMO, turning relatively common young adulthood scenarios into outer-dimensional trips and hyperspace travels (Friend Zone in your date? Say hello to General Zod for me). And even the smallest detail from the pilot can be referenced accurately in later seasons way ahead. Characters are fresh and well-written, as well as REALLY likable, even the ones you get annoyed by easily. In my case it was Benson and Muscle Man, but even THOSE guys found ways to surprise me in some episodes. I personally like Mordecai the best out of them, because I actually do relate a bit: slacker but kindhearted enough to fight for his friends.

All in all, I recommend checking it out, it might surprise ya like with me.
